PLAN A VISIT
GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Derry Baptist Fellowship a great one!
SERVICE TIMES
- Sunday Worship: at 11:00 am [Verbal Arts Centre, BT48 6PU]
- Tuesday Service: at 7:00 pm [Bible Study & Prayer Meeting] – 11 Grove Place, BT48 6JT
WHAT TO EXPECT?
HOW LONG DOES THE SERVICE LAST?
In total, a Derry Baptist Fellowship service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the “announcements” followed by “prayer requests” and then a time of prayer, next we receive our tithes & offerings, this is for members and regular attenders, [visitors are not expected to take part]. After the music portion of the service is complete, our pastor will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus. [usually around 30 minutes long] There will be then a closing song/hymn.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Sunday’s at Derry Baptist Fellowship are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Some people like to dress up, others come in jeans and a comfortable shirt. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
We recommend you arrive by 10:45am to grab some tea or coffee and biscuits. We try to get started right at 11:00am.
WHAT ABOUT PARKING?
You will have several options for parking: We do not recommend parking directly on our street.
- You can try parking on the surrounding streets free all day on Sunday’s and after 6.30 pm on Tuesdays
- You can also try the car park Carlisle Road Car Park. 19 Carlisle Rd BT48 6JL which is free on Sundays/Tuesdays [except December, check signs]
- You can also try the car park Foyle Road Car Park, Foyle Road, A2, BT48 6JR which is free on Sundays/Tuesdays [except December, check signs]
DO I HAVE TO BE A BAPTIST TO ATTEND?
Absolutely not! You do not need to be a Christian or Baptist. We desire for everyone to feel comfortable attending our services and engaging in our community. We want Derry Baptist Fellowship to be a place where you can ask questions and wrestle with what you believe about God and truly realise everyone is welcome and also place where all people can find hope in Jesus!
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We currently have separate activities & teaching time for children, so they leave mid-service.
